4 miles in Phoenix

So I am in Phoenix for a conference. That, however, does not deter me in my training goals. I set off yesterday for my 4 mile training walk. I wandered the streets of ASU, in part because I knew there would be a lot of people there. In part because I wanted access to water and bathrooms, which I assumed would be more plentiful on campus.

Check out this really cool blooming cactus. Isn't it amazing?

Equally cool is this flowering tree. I must apologize, though, for the lack of focus. I chose to use my cell phone for pics on that walk because I didn't have large enough pockets for my other camera.

I was surprised that I couldn't walk as fast in Tempe as I do in Saint Paul. Apparently there are pollution and elevation differences that I didn't take into consideration.

J and I had a positively lovely dinner with S and R. R has inspired me to do more home entertainment. Note to self. . .
