I surely would have done my 15 minutes. I'm just saying. . . The 'hot dog!' at the end is really worth it. Trust me.
This sculpture is near my home, next to a community garden. I thought it was particularly pretty on my short walk this morning. (Short because while I SET my alarm, I didn't turn it on. Whoops!) 3 more miles this afternoon.
This is a new mexican ice cream shoppe I walked by today. The sign on the side says 'Abierto,' which I know from my Sesame Street watching days means 'open.' I believe the skit involved Grover. I loved Grover.
Here are some of the famous caves in the city of Saint Paul. Generations of kids spent their afternoons exploring these caves - which are dangerous, by the way. I believe this stopped around the time of the Adam Walsh disappearance, when mom's stopped shooing their kids out of the house from dinner to bedtime.
At this point on my way up the hill, I always debate the stairs on the left with the hill on the right. I generally pick the hill - less isolated.

2 big fire trucks, 2 small trucks, and an ambulance passed by me and raced up the Ohio Street hill. Happily, I don't smoke anymore, so I don't have to worry about having left a cigarette burning in the ashtray for the kittens to knock over. That said, someone's life took a dramatic turn this morning. As I walked up the hill, I pondered this. I am grateful that today, at least, the drama wasn't mine.
