I put on my new shoes and started off. Initially, I thought I'd walk my self down to Mickey D's for a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit. I love those things. It occurred to me, however, that I probably didn't actually need a biscuit.
Detoured through Prospect Park, where I used to take Mad when she was young. . .
An alternate view of downtown not far from Prospect Park.
This corner lot CLAIMS to be a park, but all that's there is a single bench and a sign declaring it a Park.
Just as yesterday we saw Stonehenge, Saint Paul style, today, I give you Saint Paul's version of Easter Island. . .
The bike is still on the wrong side of the fence on the Ohio Street hill. Plants are beginning to grow amongst the spokes.
As I headed up the hill, I got a bad feeling. 2.6 miles into the walk and the new shoes are presenting new shoe problems. On both heels.
This black cat did NOT cross my path! I swear!
I cut my walk short, and returned home.
Later that evening, I slapped on some mole's skin and my old shoes and got the last 2 miles in. I'll spare you the picture of my left ankle.
You're welcome.
